Our work at Perlentor

Perlentor e.V. has been doing outreach work for many years through Hope revolution, our street work team including to establishes contact with women. Women are visited weekly, primarily in Munich and the surrounding area, relationships are built and help is offered.

The work of Perlentor e.V. begins where a woman is saved from forced – or poverty-induced prostitution. We are in contact with other institutions we know in Germany and partly in the countries of origin. Depending on the needs of each woman, we refer her individually to another facility or accept her into one of our own shelters.

Once a woman has been helped to leave, the step towards an independent life begins. She can then move into a lovingly furnished room in one of our shelter apartments in Munich. She should feel safe in her new home and gain new strength, she can breathe a sigh of relief and find peace.

Especially at the beginning, the relationship work with the woman is crucial for the further course of the support. In the beginning, the focus is also on providing for their basic needs. This includes registration address, registration for health insurance, registration for social insurance, German, etc.

Over time, new capacities become available so that she can develop an individual perspective for her life and set concrete goals.

As unique as each woman’s story is, so is her journey into her new life. We accompany her step by step on this journey. The basis for our actions is always the unconditional acceptance and appreciation of the individual woman – regardless of her origin, her history, her age and her religion.

The work of Perlentor e.V. takes place in the spirit of Christian values of freedom, dignity and charity.
